About the library

Metal Groans and Slams is an audio library for which metal was kicked, bowed, hammered and… induced to vibrate through feedback loops?!

From giant percussive sculptures to broken pipes and old cable cars, the library feature a variety of textures recorded with various microphones and unique recording techniques.

The collection features 346 unique sounds recorded with a Fostex FR2, a Sennheiser MKH416 and two MKH8040, plus a pair of JrF contact microphones.
