Sound designers often rely on bigger sounding objects to support visuals. For example vegetables are heavily used for snaps and crunches for their natural sound and its rich texture.
I’ve always wanted to find a good substitute for meat that could emulate its goriness, so I decided to record and document the “Borax Experiment”. I believe the result could be considered an overkill: the composite lasts for days, it can be torn apart and easily reassembled and, most of all, its sound can be controlled by simply adding water.

All Sounds were recorded with a Fostex FR2, a Rode NTG3 and a Tascam DR05, edited and mixed together at 24 bit, 96 KHz.
