A quick guidethrough on designing and implementing audio for the Caulden pistol in Dirty Bomb. All assets were created in Reaper and implemented in Unreal Engine 3 through Audiokinetic Wwise. RTPC dynamically control ambient responses through the game’s environmental system as well as the amount of mechanical layer according to the use of iron sights.
